Tulku Rinpoche Gyurmé Gyatso and Khenpo Sherab Sangpo have together set a plan in motion to erect amajor monastic center in the spiritual country of Nepal. This monastery will be located in Yangleshö, a sacred power spot blessed by Padmasambhava himself. This monastery will allow fortunate students to engage continuously in the practices of study, contemplation, meditation, and so forth, as well as serving as a supreme place to gather the riches of merit and help preserve, protect, and spread and the Buddhist teachings of transmission and realization, the source of all benefit and happiness. Gyurme Rinpoche's Biography Gyurme Jamtso Rinpoche was born in the Kham region of eastern Tibet, and entered monastic life at a young age. He lived and practiced meditation at the Adzom Monastery where he also completed a three year retreat. He then attended Khenchen Jigme Phunstok’s University at Larung Gar Monastery for four years where he studied Buddhist philosophy. His root teachers are the second Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche and Kenchen Jigme Phunstok Rinpoche. He has received many sutras, tantras, and empowerments from both root teachers and received the Great Perfection teachings from Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche. Gyrume Jamtso Rinpoche’s skills are vast and he is alsoa very wise and compassionate teacher. He is accomplished in Tibetanyoga techniques, performs Phowa rituals, gives Phowa empowerments, andhas also teaches Tibetan Tantric Yoga.
He now spends his time teaching to eager students and to Monks atmonasteries throughout the world. His travels have brought him to teachat various locations including to students in China, Malaysia,Singapore and Hong Kong where he has established several BuddhistCenters. He also oversees a Monastery in Bhutan and is currentlybuilding a Monastery in Nepal. Gyurme Rinpoche is a Tulku (a reincarnated Master) and has beenrecognized as the reincarnation of Adzom Namtul Rinpoche by the secondAdzom Drukpa Rinpoche, Jamyang Choukyi Nyima Rinpoche, and His Holinessthe Dalai Lama. Adzom Namtul Rinpoche was a great master in his time and when hepassed away it is said he achieved the rainbow body by those who sawthe signs of his bodily remains shrinking to a very small size afterhis death. Adzom Namtul Rinpoche was recognized during his lifetime asthe reincarnation of Ripa Namkha Dorje. Ripa Namkha Dorje was a student of Rainbow Padma Dundul, was acousin to the first Adzom Drukpa Rinpoche, and hailed from AdzomMonastery. He in turn was recognized as the reincarnation of RipaDamtsig Dorje. Ripa Damtsig Dorje was a student of Do Drupchen Rinpoche who was theteacher of four heart sons that all bear the last name Dorje. RipaDamtsig Dorje is one of those heart sons. Thus, the reincarnations are listed as follows: First is RipaDamtsig Dorje, second is Ripa Namkha Dorje, third is Adzom NamtulRinpoche, and fourth is Gyurme Jamtso Rinpoche. This Tulku is a raregem for any student fortunate enough to study with him for any periodof time. And his ability to spread the dharma to vast areas of theworld has and will continue to benefit many sentient beings.
